Alas, nothing can be done about it now and SD-Snatcher will hopefully still rightfully win, but I would like to see this strange phenomenon reflected in the poll-conclusion.

of course. But still it's kinda wierd to have a best-msx2-game poll without solid snake-metal gear 2.

Especially seeing that in the MSX1 poll 'Nemesis' was dubbed 'Nemesis 1', I think this probably would've made a difference in the voting.

Hehe, looking at he amounts of time putting in the games I still think Boulderdash is THE msx1 game. Not only playing the game, but finding out the way the levels were stored... Very cool...

Indeed! Boulderdash 'rocks'

If someone makes a remake, do you think background music is appropraite (could be ambient/new age style tho) or is the silence of the game a part of the mystery and lonelyness?

I think the music should be 'quiet' or something like that. 'Ghostwriter P' made a Boulderdash version with moonsound support and I don't think he used any music during gameplay, but he used the MoonSound for stereo sound effects. Of course he can't find the sources, or anything for that matter except some gfx...
I never missed music while playing boulderdash anyway.

Damnit, sober or not I never passed level 1 of Salamander *feeling really ashamed here* Not much better with Nemesis 2 (level 3), Nemesis 1 (level 4) or Nemesis 3 (Level 2 maybe). Amazingly I finished most peach up games, I guess it's all about motivation

I know how you feel. I only reached level 8 of nemesis once (when I had borrowed the cart), and after that playing from disk) never again. I don't think I ever have seen the end of level 1 of salamander. Nemesis 2, once reached level 2. Nemesis 3, about the same. Space mambow level 4 or so, But I only recently discovered that the options can be rotated.

But the worse, I think, is parodius. It looks like nemesis and plays like nemesis, but why haven't I been able to finish even level 1

About peach up: that game is far to easy. It's only harder to get trough the animes, as it is to finish a level. But most of them are fairly original games

And usas ... well, let's say I get overwhelmed by the graphics of level 2

I played nemesis2 'till level 5, nemesis 3 until that boss-monster you fly into (level 10 ??),
never came past those scars in Salamander, level 1 . Then again Pariodius is easy. Never really played Nemesis 1.
Back then when I played Space Manbow, I did the diskversion with the F4-key, not exactly the way it should be played

Pleaz people!! Was it so hard playin' these games till there end. After weeks of playin' you finally saw the end (de einddemo, yessss)!!

Remember those lousy endings after you played the whole game.... so much work!! In my case reaching the end was an orgasm.. (had no girlfriend at the time ).

But serious... The nemesis games are very hard, there was no Red Bull at the time.. but metal gear, usas, vampire killer... it was/is possible.

I have spoken!
