Can I propose a new challenge ?
I propose the development of an MSX1 game with smooth scroll

I think that in scr1 it is possible to use up to 6 different tilesets that
should be sufficient for a 8 direction smooth scroll

(two X position, two Y positions plus 2 extra diagonal positions lead exactly to 6 tilesets!)

........
......X.
........
X...X...
........
..X.....
........
X...X...

I marked with X the offset of the tiles in the 6 tilesets.

Adding some inertia to the scroll you do not need the
missing positions.

Ok, this has nothing to do with the challenge, but it's something i made inspired on this topic

Quarth goes italo! (still work in progress, as i want to make a medley out of it)

maybe it'll give some a bit more inspiration, and others maybe a plain good old laugh

now all i need to do is get mbwave running and come up with some self composed weirdness for the challenge...
