The Dragon Slayer series are also quite good (especially part IV and Legend of Heroes). Also, the Hydlide series is quite entertaining as well.

Awesome! I added a link to it from the site. Kudos to t00b for creating that.

Thanks. I added Hydlide to the list. Someone had told me about that before but I had forgotten it. The Dragon Slayer series, I think I've added the action-adventure-rpgs out of that one. Mainly Legend of Xanadu and I believe Sorceran. Isn't Legend of Heroes more turn based or does it have a combat system that is more action based?

Legend of Heroes has a turn based battle mode, indeed. But you should also check out part IV: Drasle Family. Quite fun, but not brilliant, though.

Do you know Ys I, II and III on the MSX? Those games are all packed with "action"...
No turn-based stuff in those games! But I guess you already know the series (on other systems)?
And, differently, SD Snatcher contains a lot of action when you fight. It's pretty original and it draws your attention, makes you think strategically.
That's some of the first action-Rocket Propelled Grenades on MSX I would think of... |

Haven't checked the site in awhile. I'll be sure to add these map images to XyZ as soon as I am able. Lately I've been working on uploading parts of the Xak Manga (first part is now available) and working on scanning and displaying some of the artwork content from the various Xak series books I bought from Japan.

I know Ys very well, but thank you for pointing it out. It is a great series. Actually XyZ will mainly deal with Xak, Ys and Zelda for the most part. The Ys content is still in a "coming soon" status since I'm hoping to work on it after I'm done with most of the Xak series content.
