Wasn't much of a secret anyway...<<

RAW format? what is raw format?

Er, I hope that wasn't a joke, because otherwise I'm really falling for it . Anyways, RAW format means that you are just saving the plain data without any header information telling you the dimensions of the picture, etc. A palette should then be saved in a seperate file aswell.

NYYRIKKI > thanks for the link, I will download it, it may prove to be quite helpful. But I tried some BMP tool already and the problem of it (along with many other file format viewers on MSX) was that it couldn't save the resulting file to disk! Gah, and that's of no use to me . Anyways this seems to be a windows program, so it would definately save in an MSX native format. And there are some other pretty useful tools on that page aswell. Great link! Btw, it shouldn't be ftp:// but http://. So: www.imasy.or.jp/~hra/Download.htm. Anyways, once more, thanks for the link.

well.. the RAW format just stores RAW data. No encoding, compression, rotating, swapping, or whatever.

Yes, but it makes the format ideal for post-processing and/or conversion.
