You can see the end demo by changing ROM offset #00df (#CC) by #CD

Is that something even I can do?

So this game's end could only be seen by hackers? Was it a punishment maybe to those that pirated the game?Original sales were estimated and proved that would be so low that the designers thought to punish people that had pirated copies -(and original too!)...

You have a pirated copy ------------> you won't see the end

You have original -------------> you won't see the end because you only bought the original to crack it and sell it.

But if you are a hacker you use a dumped rom of game decades later, and you edit the rom file at ROM offset #00df (#CC) by #CD,then you see the end?

Aggressive and sadists were the programmers if they did this if you ask me...

I don't think that the only way to see the end demo is to hack the ROM. Probably you can end it by playing fair (but I haven't tried)
Modifiying the ROM (i.e.: with a simple hex editor) you can see the end demo as soon as you start a new game.

I did for hours and hours, that's why I came crying about it here.

My point is that the game has an ending, so I think it was designed to be possible to finish it. But perhaps it has a bug in the final boss, or a weird way of defeating it. I don't know

You must be right...

But I really wonder what it is you should do to defeat it.
I think I tried everything.

Say, is it possible to make a patch for the .ROM ? *puppy eyes*

Maybe it's even possible to look into the code in order to see what has to be done to defeat it

This sounds like the end of the original Quake (yes, the PC game) were you could spill all your ammo on the monster but the only way to defeat it was teleporting into it at the right moment. I needed a walk-through to discover that one...
