Heh, here in Brazil that was quite commmon too... not only in altered games (most of the cases with translated names) - but even worst, some companies used to sell the same game with different names! Ex: Feud was sold also as "magic conflict" or "halloween"!)

As for translated games, we had lots of "Futebol" (Soccer) which sometimes was Konami´s Soccer, sometimes other soccer games... (Like Super Soccer which I have on cartridge, heh)

Psychoblast is spoiled MSX conversion of Jeff Minter´s Cool blasting game "VOIDRUNNER". Spoiled because it´s hellishly SLOW on MSX.... Try MSX version first , and then try Commodore 64 original to see what I mean, all the feeling is lost in bad MSX conversion.

I love VOID RUNNER, even if I had to admit that it is somewhat slower than the ZX version. I haven't played the C64 original. The idea of a whole char-based arcade is cool. Anyway, DESOLATOR is and will be one of my favourite non-japanese arcade games.
