Example of PSG + SCC use with a PT3 module:

MP3 file

No dedicated channels for the SCC;

3 of them mimic the PSG channels
2 of them are used for 'echo'; normal tracks with delay

no file, john

Those files are separate from the sdcc package, if you cannot find them, do not esitate, ask me..

Thank you, I'll definitely do that.

IMHO Hitech-C (the cross compiler, not the cpm version) could give a bit better code, but it has no specific msx support
so you need asm to access to graphic

YEs, neither sdcc had direct support for msx machines, for support i mean only the basic parts that allow to build things such as hello world app.

AFAIK z88dk goes a little more far, but having only support to change video mode is not that better than hitech or sdcc...

DemonSeed: if's a rather public file, or otherwise something you'd declare 'freeware', representative, a product etc. then you can also just send it to us and we can add it to the downloads section.. and if MRC works, the downloads section works..

Back on topic, just one question: wouldn't it be better to plan a RPG game? I mean, combat is just a part of the story but there's a rich background to create a complex game. Or even Action-RPG with RPG/stategic sequences and arcade/action fights. What do you think about it?

Could be. Iirc I triggered a similar thread ages ago on the MSX Mailinglist, somewhere back in 2000 or 2001 or so. It was in the pre-MRC days (the MRC as we currently know ofcoz, MRC exists far longer than that ), and caused quite some activity on a regular day, up to levels where ppl complained about their exploding mailboxes.

One could publicly discuss an RPG, but perhaps it'd be better to open a new thread for that and continue the original game concept here. Be my guest to open a new RPG thread!
