First off, yeah, I know that this is probably a pipe dream, but I've gotta take a shot.
I'm trying to locate a factory sealed copy of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and I'm willing to go to almost any lengths to acquire one. If anyone has, knows of someone who has, or could even suggest a method of obtaining a copy, please let me know.
My email address is nitroid_at_gmail_dotcom.
Thanks, guys.

That's almost impossible. Some years ago I bought (from Japan) a -supposedly- second hand copy of SD Snatcher (if you haven't heard about SD Snatcher take a look at this poll) but, to my surprise, the game was actually new! No signs of use anywhere: box, cover, user's manual, cartridge and disks are new. It even came with a small panflet advertising other Konami games.
My copy of Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake is in excellent condition, the user's manual shows almost no signs of use, but the box and the cover are not completely perfect. |

Exactly.. that's almost impossible! The last 7 years I constantly search for MSX objects on E-Bay (worldwide) and local sites like marktplaats.nl!
I have never seen an sealed MG2!
The only change you get is in Japan! On Japanese sites or in local shops!
Good luck.

They must be there, though. Through import channels, MG2 was quite good available in Europe in the early 90s. I bet there were visionairs back then who thought: 'I'm not going to open the box'... |

I do remember people selling on eBay "new" copies of Metal Gear 2 and SD Snatcher but if you looked closely at the pictures they were used... I am sure that Nitroid will not find a new copy of Metal Gear 2 but, with a lot of patience and luck, he can find a second hand copy in pristine condition.

Or buy several and combine them to create a 'near perfect' copy |

And seal it yourself |

And then sell it for 5 times the money you payed for it!!
But I don't think this will be a satisfied answer for Nitroid!!

Yeah, I assumed that the chances of finding a sealed copy would be anywhere from slim to nigh freaking impossible, but I'm going to keep looking. It's one of those items that I would actually be willing to go to Japan or even take out a bank loan for.
Again, if anyone knows of an MSX vendor or connection that might lead me in the right direction, please let me know.

Okay, I will factory seal my Solid Snake (mint condition) and send it to you. I will hire a contracter to build me that swimming pool I want so bad. In the meantime, you can get that loan so you can pay for that swimming pool.
Deal? |

Hahaha, yeah.
Although I do have to wonder now, does anybody have a photo of what a legitimately sealed MSX game looks like?

Imagine a MSX game, but with some transparent plastic around it. Some games (like Konami's) used to have special stickers with the Konami logo as a seal. When your game is wrapped and has an untouched seal, you have a real new one.
