Yeah, some games use only 1 button, in other games some require 2 buttons. I'm sure the ones your thinking about are Gradius, Salamander, Zanac, Aleste 2....all the good shmups require 2 buttons. The XE-1PRO will have no problem on your MSX, it's the best MSX stick IMO, I love them alot. It even has adjustable rapid fire, but I don't think I really used it very much. The trigger LED lights and blinks faster you press the buttons, a nice aesthetic to overall appearance. Another interesting tidbit is the joystick itself, it's the same custom seimitsu stick found in the Neo Geo stick that came with the AES. The first thing I did when I got mine, I changed the stocked 30mm balltop with a 35mm one. It makes a huge difference unless you like tiny balls

rolins, so you like big balls I have a QuickShot MSX-compatible joystick, but I can't really get used to it. In my humble opinion, joypad beats the crap out of joystick in usability.

That awesome. There's also the X-F1 adapter (I think thats the correct name) which will connect to Famicom's DB15 port.

Then may be you can buy the MSX Joyball from me. The size of the ball on this thing is about the size of my fist
