Did you also try to change the sound driver?
openMSX uses multicore processors not explicitly, so it depends how the OS schedules the threads openMSX uses. I have no idea what that optimizer patch does, but I don't think you need it for openMSX. The problem is not optimization.

I've got a problem typing under BASIC or MSX-DOS. When I press Return it displays a comma, so I can basically do nothing.
I use it under Ubuntu with the Turbo-R ST ROMs found on a location we all know of.
Thanks in advance,
Marce

Heh, interesting, so you have a laptop with only one enter key, but it is the numeric keypad enter key! What laptop is that? Does it even have a numeric key pad?

It's a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Si 2636 of 13 inches and no, it doesn't have a numeric key pad.
Wow, now I can rip songs for http://www.bgmsx.com !!! |

Yeah, the problem is that this laptop tells the software that the ENTER key is actually the ENTER key from the numeric keypad (while it doesn't even have it). I'd say this is a hardware bug |

It's cool there is an option to fix it. It's not present on bluemsx as far as I've been able to search.

In blueMSX the keyboard is fully configurable using the keyboard editor. You can even assign joystick buttons to the enter key if you want |
