Hello,
If you emulate a Turbo-R on blueMSX, you have DOS 2 in the slot 3-2, right?
How do you start it?

any turboR has DOS2 built in. You start it by booting with a floppy which was formatted with DOS2 (and containing MSXDOS2.SYS and COMMAND2.COM). Or, by just booting without floppy (and you'll end up in Disk Basic version 2.x).

I see, thanks manuel.
So, is there a legal-to-download disk anywhere containing those files?
'cause, booting without any disk and stating CALL SYSTEM won't work. |

That should work fine. Boot, get into Disk Basic 2.01, insert floppy with DOS2 and type CALL SYSTEM. Voilà, you have entered DOS2.

Yeah, but the problem is, I don't have a floppy with DOS2 and don't know where it's on.
Thanks for your help, I'll have to look for one.

Can't recall MSX-DOS2 being declared freeware or PD at any time, but wouldn't know any place to buy it either (apart from picking up original cartridge/disk from FleaBay & co). So not immoral to download, shouldn't be hard to find, but *very* likely not legal to download from the web...
On a site note: how is it possible an MRC user with >1000 posts can't dig up a copy of MSXDOS2.SYS / COMMAND2.COM shame on you |
