Only a day after the first pre-release, a new preview version of fMSX for Nokia Series 60 mobile phones has been released. This version does not come with any System or game ROMs anymore, you need to add them separately after installing the emulator. The emulator now also supports gzipped ROM and DSK files.

I only have one thing to say: GREAT. I was waiting so long to play MSX games at my mobile phone. ^_^

I wonder if Konami will like this, with their recent old (MSX) game rereleases for mobile phones. Good thing you removed the ROMs, jr!

Oh, and ps, snout (replying to a message on the previous news item), dumping the ROM files from someone else's MSX computer should also be legal. As long as you do the dumping yourself.

I forgot which forum thread it was, but I thought we established computer software being an exception to that rule, meaning you HAVE to own the original software in order to legally make a copy of it. (And even that just for back-up purposes)

very, very nice, although I have to try it yet. But the news in itself is cool already.
