31st MSX Users Meeting in Barcelona announced

mesiasmsx has announced in our active MSX Forum that the next Barcelona MSX Users Meeting (known as RU) organized by the MSX Friends Association is going to be held on the 28th of April, 2007 in the Cotxeres de Sants (as usual), a civic center located in Barcelona. If you have Google Earth installed on your PC you can view the exact location of this event right here. The entrance price and the standholders that will be present are to be announced. We will add this meeting to our list of MSX fairs and meetings in the near future.

Train from Girona to Barcelona: 6.45 €. The station (Barcelona-Sants) is near the center where the meeting is hold (5 minutes walking from Sants Estació, take a look at the Google Earth location in the newspost).

Sure, the city is one of the best I saw and is very unique, but taking RENFE express train from Barcelona to Figueros on April 1st was a very challenging task. It emerged that it's, in fact, a regular train, and it came 7 minutes before the time it should, and everyone in the train were suggesting us to exit on this and that station and change the train. I still don't know whether they were joking or not.

April 1st is not celebrated on Barcelona. I was used to travel by RENFE for some years and, believe me, almost every day I had problems. Last year it went even worse. Hopefully I drive my car and I can be hours on the road even if it should be a 15 minutes travel.

quite strange, maybe there was a misunderstanding and they were suggesting you to get on a faster train. If I remember well Catalunya Expres is the cheapest and fastest regional line to arrive to Figueres (take a look at Renfe's website, select the destination on the frontpage).

No, they stated that this train (which was marked in the time-table, displayed on a monitor, as Catalunia Express, but as I said departure time was 7 minutes before the time stated in the printed copy of time table) won't arrive to Figueres. Other passengers disagreed... But in the end the train arrived there, and it took almost 2 hours and a lot of stations instead of planned 1:40, so all I can say it was really weird and looked like one big fool's day joke.
