Nijmegen 2010 announced

With the discontinuation of Bussum, one of the traditional pure-MSX fairs in The Netherlands, the fair in Nijmegen is the only one left. As of today, the 2010 edition of this fair has been formally announced, so mark this date into your agendas!  

 

Being the successor of the former MSX Fair in Oss, it's the fifth time this fair is being organized, and considering the success of the first four editions, it looks like this fair is going to stay for a while. Whether it's the location (one big room), or the after party dinner in the nearby Chinese restaurant.. it simply works.  

 

The features of this fair:

• floor area of 10 by 22 meters.
• there is a bar which offers drinks at a friendly price.
• free entrance; the booth holders pay per table. Cost: probably €7 per table, depending on the amount of booths.
• the tables are 70 by 140 cm.
• there is a stage in the room; the organizers are still investigating if they can do something fun with it. If participants have a bright idea: make yourself heard!
• it's highly recommend to bring your own cable (extenders), and perhaps a few spares for your fellow MSX'ians, in case of emergency.

As mentioned above, the after party diner in the Chinese restaurant is a tradition of this fair. Due to the immense crowd -yet cozy- during the 2008 edition, there is a limit of 35 persons for this restaurant. Reserving your seat with the organizers has its advantages.  

 

As mentioned in the newspost about Bussum: this is the only traditional Dutch MSX fair left: let's cherish it. In short: be there, on Saturday, January 23th, 2010!
