For those not aware of it yet, Ricardo Oazem (known from hardware projects such as the VSU) has decided to make a new kit (based upon fudebas' kit) with which you can transform your MSX1 machine to an MSX2+. The characteristics of the new kit are:

  • MSX2+ VDP
  • FM Stereo
  • IDE Controller
  • 512Kb Memory Mapper
  • support for composite video, s-video and RGB (using CXA)
  • internal clock

Prices will be from R$400,00 to R$450,00. This kit will exactly serve as Expert for HotBit. For more information, contact Ricardo at "ritchosam" using his hotmail address.

Still in development. For what I heard, it will be possible to install it on any MSX1 that hasn't an engine.

For those who want more information about the MSX2 + kit for a look at this link: http://amxproject.wordpress.com/projeto-msx-2/B-)
According to the developer, Ricardo Oazen, the kit should be in any installed on any msx, both domestic and imported. Moreover he promises more of a novelty when the kit is completed.
