Recently we've reported about the Nowind interface being finished. While the first batch will be produced by the Nowind developers them self, a possible -but realistic- second batch is announced to be produced by Sunrise.
Meanwhile, the Nowind interface has been tested on an MSX turbo-R and with 7 Mhz, and the test results were positive. For 7 MHz there may be a firmware upgrade later on to gain even more speed (at the moment it isn't twice as fast as on 3.58 Mhz yet). There have also been tests with a turbo-R in R800 mode and with DOS2, and these tests turned out positive as well.
Judging by what this device can do, the Nowind interface may very well become one of the most practical MSX hardware extensions you can buy these days, especially for cross-developers!
