Sunrise, a longtime MSX foundation providing hardware and software, has informed us with the following news flashes.

  • Still being a popular device, the new batch of Compact Flash readers has been ready for quite a while. Those who want to obtain one simply need to contact Sunrise.
  • Sunrise now also ships The Goonies 'R' Good Enough.
  • The latest version of Denyonet's BIOS, made by konamiman, is about to be tested. It's scheduled to be ready for the MSX Fair in Nijmegen, January 2011.
  • There are plans to re-issue software from Parallax.
  • Sunrise will sponsor the box of PlaySoniq.

Its very good to hear you're back on activity. But pleeeease, update the IDE/CF BIOS to support FAT16 natively as does the OCM SD interface and the Padial's LPE-MMC. And not to choke on longfilenames.

This way the CF interface would then even easily interchange SD cards with the other interfaces by using a SD->CF adapter like this one.

Maybe we help with the ROM update for fat16 (i'm not sure), is the source available ?

What was the format used by Parallax to distribute their software? Cartridge or disk(s)?

As regards the native support, That's a wish ,but therefor I need the help Of Jon. But he doesnot answer any mail.
I will see if there is another way.
But those adapters work also without native support, so that's irrelevant
@Ivan the parallax games have been released as a cart(ARC only), the rest disc(s)

I am thinking on becoming a compact flash re-reseller Hannibal. The compact flash cartridges seem to become more expensive after usage Wink

But seriously.... Isn't it a good idea for Sunrise to use E-bay to sell their hardware? IIRC. There are still CF carts availble at Sunrise..... Then why should anyone start bidding like crazy when one pops up on E-bay....
