Konami Software Club Newsletters

MSX fan djh1697 from the United Kingdom just finished scanning the first (and perhaps only) twelve issues of the Konami Software Club Newsletter. These newsletters, more than twenty years ago, kept its readers up to date about Konami. MSX receives a lot of attention, but other systems are mentioned as well. It contains a lot of history, which could be described as essential for any MSX fan out there!

As far as I am aware there where only 12 issues published, unless anyone knows anything different?

Well in issue 12 they announced issue 13... I guess 13 was EOL for them

Me to , there are 12 issues. I have also the originals, but I was not satisfied with the scans I made.
Me fails only the first issue.

Yeah, if you read the last issue (12), you can see a big announcement that from then on (the 2nd year), they will have a much bigger news letter. It even says which topics will be in next issue.

So, unless something horrible happened, I would indeed expect that there are more issues!

Does anyone know why Luther De Gale left Konami UK? The 11th newsletter speaks about this on page 3.

Nobody seems to know, including Dennis the publisher!!

Dennis is still in touch, Luther sold his PX7 laserdisk system a few years ago, shame really, can you imagine how much that would be worth today?

wasn't luther de gale part of electrocoin, which was a nationwide distributor of all things arcadey in the uk.

I think he went off to run that.

Or did he leave that to go to konami, ah man, I dunno, all this stuff so long ago
