Airwaves Challenge entry 05: Airwaves

Joyrex (a.k.a. Desire in Envy or Vincent van Dam) truly is an MRC Challenge regular. This time he entered the MRC Airwaves Challenge with a trackmo called Airwaves. This trackmo for MSX2 with MSX-MUSIC and higher contains 3 song (one of which is hidden and won't compete in the contest).

By joining the MRC Airwaves Challenge you can not only get eternal fame by getting your music published on the MRC, if you are the winner of the challenge, you will also get some cool airplay on a retrocomputing music show aired on the Dutch radio-station Enschede FM. After the broadcast, the show will become available on the internet, thus getting a lot of attention all over the world. Possibly more entries than only the winner of the challenge wil be aired on poke -1,170's Airwaves show. So, show your music skills to the MSX community and send your entries before February 28th, 2005, 23:59 to airwaves@msx.org. Good luck!

about trackmos:

I found that term yeeeeeears ago in some PC demo, so that's where I got it. One could argue that every demo is a trackmo since it combines audio and video .. but that's not entirely true. A scroll/logo demo is not a trackmo, even a demo like Source of Power is not a trackmo, as there's no relation between the visuals and the audio (you can even skip parts in SOP!). The simplest definition of a trackmo would be that: you hear what you see and you see what you hear, and there's a major focus on music/audio.

Aren't those little hackerdemo's the same then in a way? little vector bouncing ball,some chippy tune playing,some bbs stuff...nope they are cracktro's now I remember... so,where could you find trackmo's then? demogroups made them,or hackers? or....

(a bit boring, but it's enough to get the idea ^_^)

so: when a demo visualises the music in every way, then it can be called a trackmo. The difference with a normal demo is dat a trackmo has the music as master and the visuals as slave. In a demo it's the other way around.
