MSXdev08: Cancelled entries

Bad news from the MSXdev camp: there are two canceled MSXdev'08 entries to report: Qbiqs (Z80ST-Software) and Knightmare III: Raziël Revenge (Team RyJuZo).

However, luckily these are merely canceled for the contest rather than canceled game projects. The development of Qbiqs will continue and the ambitious Knightmare III: Raziël Revenge will be released outside of the contest due to its big ROM size that does not fit the contest specifications.

And so, for the moment, the amount of entries is quite a bit on the low side. With roughly three weeks left, whatever game you have been working on should now be in the polishing phase. This could mean that in the next weeks more and more finished entries will be submitted. Let's hope so!

Yeah, afaik Qbiqs is close to completion, with lots of gfx done, musics and the whole engine for 1p and 2p running. It is just that SapphiRe is running out of free time nowadays and he is not able to finish it on time for the contest. But you can bet it will be finished during '09! Wink. And about Knightmare 3, it has been a matter of game size, not of lack of time, so I guess the game will be released soon, but outside the contest.

I had the chance to meet SapphiRe in Barcelona, and see a last QBIQS's version in my own Turbo-R.

This person is the most nice and the most courteous that I have never met during the diverse meetings MSX.
I undertake you to bring all your support for the development of its game, it is a real passionate person of the standard, and he deserves many to take away this competition.

Wink

well the map would be infinite...
all the levels come from a pseudo random number generator
so they are deterministic, but pratically infinite
