Free games on Imanok's restyled website

Spanish developer Imanok has updated (and restyled) his site on which you can now download all his games, of which some are improved versions, for free! The games in question are:

  • Rolling Thunder (Adapted from KunBasic to Nestorbasic)
  • Final Bout (with a newer version of Nestorbasic)
  • Gradius III Legends (with a newer version of Nestorbasic)
  • Bubble Rain (with a newer version of Nestorbasic and graphically improved)
  • Cat'n'Mouse (with a newer version of Nestorbasic)
  • Armwresting
  • Traffic Jam (Extended version, with FM soundtrack)
  • King Kong 2 English Translation Patch

In the newer version of Nestorbasic, some bugs concerning external FM-PAC detection and un-installation are fixed.

Just a few remarks:
- isn't there a less annoying way to get more RAM available in BASIC, besides using CTRL? I'm sure NYYRIKKI has some tricks for this! ;-)
- almost all of the things I tried set unsafe PSG port directions (port A is set as output). This is not allowed by the MSX standard. Some MSX models (mostly MSX1) can get damaged by this.

Yes, but that was not enough.
Anyway, if it bothers you that much, you can give this a try:

If you mean the games using Nestorbasic, I can assure you I don't write directly to any port in my basic code... so it may be a matter of the music or fx replayers included into Nestorbasic.

Don't see the problem in just having a link to http://imanok.msxblue.com tho. You are allowed to place links, you don't get punished with a captcha unless the rest of your comment looks like spam.

The problem happens if I want to use the advanced features to make open the link in a new window for example, what should be the default rule for external links (but as you use XHTML 1.0 Strict, it's of course not the case, contrary to XHTML 1.0 Transitional).

Well, if you get a captcha, just enter it properly to prove it's not spam. By doing that you will train the self-learning system behind the spam detection and in a short while it won't bother with the captcha anymore.
