Sunrise news: game collection in development

Sunrise offers Norakomi's game Manbow 2 as a pay-download. For €4.95 you can now enjoy this fan sequel to Konami's console-quality shooter Space Manbow in an emulator, or even on your MSX using a flash ROM. For blueMSX and openMSX there are Manbow 2 mapper types available, which should enable you to save your game situation.

This move from hardware to software does not mean that a physical version of Manbow 2 has finally gone the way of the dodo. A new and large 32 megabit cartridge is being worked on, and will (next to Manbow 2) contain games by Parallax too. Akin, Vectron and Blade Lords have been confirmed. Black Cyclon is being tested as we speak, Magnar and ARC will follow.

This new and big cartridge format will later on be used for Norakomi's next projects: DEVA and a Street Fighter game. Perhaps the space this cartridge type offers - 4 megabytes, which is quite whopping for MSX terms - could be a trigger for new games that use extensions such as Moonsound (128KB - 2MB SRAM) and/or Graphics9000 (512KB VRAM). Anyone who dares to take this giant leap?

Nitpicking: Wasnt 32 megabit equal to 4 megabyte? Or am I misunderstanding the article? Not that I am complaining about the possibility of having an 8MB cart ofcourse

Good to see ARC is going to see the light again. The game wasn't seen outside the Netherlands, IIRC because of terrible distribution. It's a good idea to have a game compilation, but its price can't be too crazy, although it contains 5 or 6 titles.

Today, I have recibed a mail from Surnsire with the Manbow2 in rom format ;-) .
The game is very good. I have played with my msx2+ with my megaflash rom 8mb
