Manuel Bilderbeek managed to create an AVI video out of the highly anticipated X-Tazy introdemo 1.2, which is, specwise, quite demanding. For those unable to download and watch the demo on 'the real thing' and don't have the right hardware to put emulators to good use, this is the one solution. Some remarks about this video:
- The framerate is 10FPS, due to Manuel's admittedly limited hardware
- The video is of the lowest quality, using openMSX' scale_factor 1. Fortunately, this has a useful consequence for you downloaders: it will take you less time
- The video stutters at regular intervals. Nevertheless, it should run 100% smoothly on real hardware, as well as on the newest openMSX CVS version
- Sound was recorded separately, so video and audio are out-of-sync sometimes
As said, it's always best to download and play the demo on real hardware or openMSX. People who haven't seen this demo yet, download and play it in your favourite video player. You'll be pleasantly surprised, staring at the seemingly endless possibilities of the combination of MSX turboR, GFX9000 and Moonsound!
