Today the design of the Homebrew MSX Gaming List published by the MSX Games bOX was completely restyled. Futhermore, all MSX games released in 2004 were added to this overview of MSX software created by the MSX community.

The intention is to continue building the database as soon as new games are released, but also update any listings of releases since 1992 with screenshots, basic information and possibly extend the offering of downloadable games and demos.

Ouch! This restyled "homebrew MSX gaming list" seems to be more unaccurate than the previous one. I have just checked the Karoshi games and some of them are missing, such as DUCK HUNT or PICTURE PUZZLE, while it appears a game called PENGU RACE that we never coded/mentioned.

Anyway, it is an excellent initiative to track the MSX game developement!

Sorry sorry, my mistakes here. Normally all games that were in the previous version should be there as well in this one. I've just compared and indeed:
Duck Hunt & Picture Puzzle are missing (I don't know why I forgot them) and Pengu Racer is not Karoshi's but from Benno van den Boogaard and Bas Wolvers. I'll correct asap.

Why not work together with the software database at Generation MSX? It'd be really sweet to have this list and the one on G-MSX online in a single place, with very complete info!

It probably won't surprise you that I'm generally in favor of centralization of information on MSX, so listing comunity titles on Generation MSX as well would not be a bad idea indeed .Still, it's good there's an overview of software released by the MSX community available by now, and when looking at how quickly spotted errors are fixed by the maintainer, I'd say it's in the right hands right now Wink

Thank you for fixing that, Phil. As I mentioned before, the list is a great job and an excellent idea!

Thanks for the comments - still work to be done to get this more complete (especially making the screenshots & complementary info on the games released before 2004) ... it will come slowly but surely. At this stage I personally prefer to keep the listing and project on the MSX Games bOX but if anybody like Generation MSX would like to have such similar list, I am always available to provide help.

well, Generation-MSX allready has some amateur games in the database and it would be nice to have them all in the db. At this moment I'm busy with translating the backend into english and make it a little bit more user friendly. After that I can open it for people who want to help maintaning the database.

Hum ... This is weird!
Hey for some odd reason this remember a "Fish-Race" game that I was planing, in fact this would be a entry for the 'old' Under-Water competition.

Well, there was also the Jumping in the Bridge game entry for the MSX-DEV.
...

Now for Pengu, is this something with Konami games?
Penguin Adventure or maybe Parodius !?

"This without mention, some games about Brazilian fish for Palm OS".

Ha!Ha!
Hum.Yeah!
Tongue

Well, sorry for the troubles!
But it really was more or less funny .
