SD-Snatcher competed against non-RPG's, who knows what the results might have been when there was a finale of, say, SD-Sn, DS6, Xak TToG and Randar 3..

I do agree sd snatcher as being a winner as an idividual game. But when it comes to RPG's the cummulative of DragonSlayer + Ys are higher opposed to (SD-)snatcher.

| By fondacio on April 15 2008, 14:22 | Well, I followed the instructions (the best MSX RPG), so I ended up with Konami for SD Snatcher (since Solid Snake is also Konami's, at least I won't have to decide whether it qualifies as an RPG and open that discussion). If the poll had been for the best MSX RPG company, I'd gone with Falcom.

If you think SD Sn is the best RPG, you vote Konami, even when Microcabin as a whole has a larger track record regarding RPGs than Konami. So essentially you indirectly vote for the best RPG, but we didn't want to do a megapoll, and listing all the RPGs would be insane, so you vote for the company instead..

Some people who read the title correctly reacted stating SD Snatcher was voted best MSX game ever and therefore it should win this poll as well. I think that's not true. SD Snatcher competed against a lot of other games in the best MSX game ever poll. Those games got votes as well. It is perfectly possible that people who voted other games than SD Snatcher will also think there is another MSX RPG better than SD Snatcher.
So we'll just have to wait and see ^_^

And I believe that a lot people have voted with this question in mind... (we are not going to get reliable results).

| By DemonSeed on April 19 2008, 19:19 | I found it very hard to decide, but ultimately I voted for Falcom because somehow I don't really consider SD-Snatcher an "archetypical" RPG.
You know, with swords, dragons, magic and stuff.
...While ofcourse, game-technically, SD-Snatcher is an RPG.
I think it's a great, unique game that stands by itself, and I never even had the mere idea of comparing it to Xak / Ys / the likes until I saw this poll.

SD-Snatcher is absolutely not the best RPG... the story is great, the music is wonderfull but the gameplay sux.. it's slow.. it's d*mn slow!
Games like Ys 2 are a true speedy miracle!!

Microcabin wins IMO cuz of Xak. Best gfx and best muzax... Don't remember anything of the stories though
