Many people will remember Compile's shoot 'em up Aleste 1. It's sequel was voted third in the best MSX2 game ever mega-poll. Basically this game took shoot 'em ups on the MSX to another level.

Luiz H. Lugato created a Portuguese translation of Compile's popular game Aleste. On his website you can find a (ASCII 16k) ROM file of the translated version.

Last month Django released a Spanish translation of Aleste.

When Wolfteam released their game ARCUS back in 1988, they could not have foreseen that some 23 years later, French MSX user Django would partially translate this piece of software to English.

Toho is most famous from their Asian movies and especially their Godzilla franchise.

Becky-chan, the coolest tomboy on the block, just had her game translated by hap and Rikusu.

From Polaris, an inhabitant of the France-based MSX Village, here's a present for the MSX community. It's a translation of a vintage Japanese RPG called Black Onyx. A help file is included.

Team Bomba are currently working on several minor bugfixes of their game Bombaman, which was released on the Oss 2004 fair two weeks ago. As you can read in the Bombaman review, Bombaman is offered in various languages.

Earlier today, hap (known for his MSX1 emulator meisei and his outspoken Audrey Tautou worshipping) released an English translation patch for Borfes to 5-nin no Akuma.

Locomosxca has released a Spanish translation of Taito's signature game Bubble Bobble. This arcade classic was released on many different platforms. The MSX version was released in 1987.
