Hello i have two MSX2 HB-F9s model, i changed the ROMS with update to MSX2+, same code in roms burned with wilem for both computers using eproms 27c256 and 27c512 i get different boot images for each computer:

{mod says: please don't inline huge images, messes up forum layout}

I dont know why using same code in eproms i get different colour in basic in each computer, will be great to know, probably this is not important thing, but i´m intrigued why this happens. Another thing is related to MSX2 HB-F9s that you could see in picture with the basic all in BLUE, if i put any cartidge on it and then i boot the msx i can hear a sound like a "diiiing......doong" seemed like a bell, this HB-F9S hardware look much new when compared with the other ("older") HB-F9S, in the "older" HB-F9s this sound dont appear present when a cart is inserted. Strange...

This "diiing...doong" sound...why appear in one HB-F9s and why not in the another?

RTFM! (Read The Fine Manual) Smile2 In this case: grab an MSX2 BASIC book, and have a look at SCREEN, COLOR, and SET SCREEN commands. Beep sound stored with that too, or was there some separate SET BEEP command? I forgot... Hannibal If that still gives a different behaviour for identical machines, perhaps the backup battery is dead on one of them (so that defaults are reset whenever you switch it on).

Note to mods: this isn't a hardware topic - better move to software or general discussion.
{mod says: it started as a hardware project, I'll leave it here (unless another mod disagreesTongue)}

I checked battery and works given voltage but when I had been tested with SET SCREEN and SET BEEP the changes were not saved if I disconnected the Msx from AC.
I think the problem was I needed to connect the msx for a longer time to power to recharge the battery? now after 3 hours or more time conected to AC seems like the changes made by SET SCREEN and SET BEEP are fully saved even if Msx is disconected from AC about 2 days.
