Hi!

I bought an old SVI 728 (MSX1) a while a go. It seems to work fine but i have one problem.
I cannot manage to load any software at all from my computer using an audio cable. I have tried Caslink, Microwaver, and premade Wave-files.
I type in BLOAD"CAS:",R and press the enter button on the msx and then play the sound, and NOTHING! I dont know how many times i've tried, but I always end up with nothing, the msx doesn't seem to respond at all.
Am i doin something wrong or is my msx broke? Question

As far as I know, SVI is somewhat similar to, but isn't MSX!

not sure, but I thought the 728 was a fully compatible MSX1...

Alucard: have you tried playing with the volume of the output? Perhaps increasing it a *little* helps?

The SVI 728 was an MSX computer see: svi.s31.pl/svi_728_hardware.html

I don't have a casette player, thats why I try to use the computer, an the cable is nothing wrong with, just bought it so it's brand new. And i have tried to change the volume several times. I'm clueless... Sad

I think that a friend of mine tried to make it record something to a cassette but connected it to a tv/computer instead (since i dom have a casette player) to see if something happend it did but the sound was VERY low.

I wonder if that cable works correctly? - the original datarecorder cables are different...
