From April 2, Japan Post suspends export to a lot of countries. The list includes Brazil, Italy and Spain but excludes France, Korea, Netherlands and US. Official announcement
Private carriers such as Fedex and Kuroneko Yamato continues to export, though restrictions may apply. For instance, Kuroneko Yamato refuses to export anything electric to Spain.
It will be very difficult to import MSX stuffs from Japan.

And sorry to be impolite... are everyone OKAY?

Thank you for letting us know and don't worry, no problem Wink . As Spaniard, I understand the restrictions, but sad to see how the world is pointing only to certain countries and citizens when this is a global public health problem and in most cases is the fault of irresponsible governments and their acts and I'm not speaking about Spanish or Italian ones precisely... IMHO governments that try to lie to do not reach the worst figures.

Only fast deliveries are suspended.

And SAL but by surface seems OK.

Though I know some people imports by surface mail, I hardly recommend that and Ebay discourages it because delivery may exceed the dispute/refund deadline.
One workaround is to export to a third country then import again from there, but other countries might be enforcing similar embargo.

I don't think so.

In Sweden they keep actual list of countries where postal services are yet functioning. Japan is in the list though but with remark which applies to some of countries that if the flight connection stops completely then mails will not be delivered, so it is quite uneven (for those who are curious the link - you can use google translate)

I don't think. In France we say that the virus cannot survive in the atmosphere of the hold at high altitude.

That's a fatal myth. Low temperature and humidity are ideal hotbed for covid and 5000+ m Tibet was devastated.
Of the English speaking countries, UK and US postal service both declared export suspension list, though the countries subject to the embargo are not consistent. And US hasn't suspended the fastest & cost ineffective delivery method called GXG. Is it under super surveillance?
I was considering exporting to Spain via Andorra, but the postal service there is run by Spain and France so that's implausible.

Now the embargo has been lifted from various countries notably Spain but still persists for eg Brazil and Italy.

"because of the novel coronavirus pandemic" :
Greenland oO
Faroe Islands oO
Liechtenstein oO
"mail items *** destined to *** the following countries/territories
Spain Ok , Italy Ko - what's the sense of this?

The sense is this: it is not so much the prevention of spreading the virus via packages that is the problem for international mail service, but the logistical nightmare caused by all the measures, not only in Japan, to stop the coronavirus from spreading via people (both those travelling internationally and those working at the mail service locally). I imagine Greenland, Faroe Islands and Liechtenstein are refusing most flights from Japan (if there ever were any) or from the countries via which mail items would be shipped to them.

The Spanish mail service, I happen to know, recently started shipping to Japan again, so I suppose they are also accepting shipments from Japan.
