I am buying a Sony HB-F1XV, which has both composite and RGB output (according to this, it's a DIN 45326 type A).

To display the output of my Philips MSX2 on a modern monitor, I am using a SCART to HDMI converter which gives a passable image. I have tried to look for a DIN 45326 type A to SCART cable but I'm having a hard time finding one that I'm sure will work.

What is everyone else using to display RGB signals from Japanese MSX-computers on monitors?

In Holland you can get them here.
Just send him a message through contact. Or use the e-mail address in his user profile here at msx.org.

Why not go to a local electronics store and buy the parts to make your own cable ?

Comfort zones are there for a reason.

It’s a legitimate suggestion, no need to diss it…

The one who can make a cable usually asks two things at same message: where to buy a cable OR where to get pinouts Wink

Such stores are not wide spread anymore which makes you need to order the components online.
Still it's fun to solder them yourself, but ready made cables guaranteed meet quality (soldering din is horror Tongue Scart ain't much fun either)

I know, i made few cables for myself... and last time when i had to fix bad blue signal connection on DIN side, i decided that next time i would just buy a new cable. Too much time and effort, and i'm getting old for this Crying
