Uf, um, I can’t say, when motivation strikes . I’m a bit preoccupied with work atm so not much MSX coding going on lately. I can say I have worked on wildcard support in the past and intend to continue. However, for the time being, I myself always start VGMPlay from MultiMente and when I want to play an entire soundtrack I just select all the VGM tracks with space and press enter on the last one.

By the way, VGMPlay has a memory size limit set to use 4 MB at the most (does not need to be the same mapper), but you can extend it if needed by changing a constant in the source and recompiling. But I have found very very few tracks which need more than that.

Many texts on that site cannot be copied to translate them. And what I can translate makes me think they do not expect foreign customers.

Currently it is on pre-order, but will be made again. I have one and it is a super device. Not only the ram, but for me the real SID chip is the real diamond of this cartridge! Especially if you also use the line out to your mixer with the extra cable (unfortunately not included in the price). I don't know if you can use all the ram in an expander, I think not. And I don't have the setup to test this at the moment.

@tacop: I bought one of those 16MB mappers through Mercari and Buyee. It looks nice and is well made, with a complete other cartridge case design than any other cart in my collection. But in my situation, it is unreliable in a primary slot of my MSX Turbo R, so to me it is useless. It also doesn't function in a slot expander, not even the 4MB that should/could be available. Also tried various dip switch settings on the back side. It causes timing problems or something like, so programs freeze. If anyone has better experience with this device, or a fix for this problem, I am more than happy to hear!

I ordered one directly from their site. They have a little English text in the left sidebar where they explain how. I didn't receive it yet, but they specifically mention Sony MSX computers where they took care the speed control was still working. Why do you think it is your specific situation that makes it not work for you? Did you also try it on a different machine?
