hmm that was fun
lets keep the discussion English again, from here, ok?
Sorry for having this discussion in russian, now I am giving a translation on my conversation with 1eonid.
I described to Leonid the following facts:
1) programming emulator is a very complex task even for an experienced programmer.
The one who can't program but thinks doing something is very simple speaks bullshit.
2) emulator writer/porter puts his whole soul into his work, and we have to respect it and be patient.
3) repetitive requests to create NES/Gameboy/etc. emulator should be done somewhere outside this forum, even if 1eonid thinks he found the right person for this task, capable of producing good quality programs.
4) I think that continuous asking someone to perform a huge amount of work for nothing, especially if the person is not interested in it, is at least tactless.
He answered me the following:
1) by being rude I can encourage the programmer to do what I want
2) I want to play NES games on my phone, but I can't, and it's very sad
3) it's a pity that so UNREMARKABLE emulator for Yamaha MSX, most games for which can be played also on NES, was ported to series60, but NES that have much more interesting games wasn't ported.
4) we, russians, have no habit to pay for software, so let's reach our goals at any cost

Now, after reading the translation of this conversation, all of you can make your own conclusions.
Keks, You form review translate my post too angry and crudely. I'm not so warmed! And you has exposed me fool.
No matter what you have discussed in Russian, this thread should be all MSX, all fMSX/S60 and all English from now on. (hint).
I totally agree with snout. So 1enoid, take in consideration this:
1. No more begging or requests about NES or Genesis emulator. Jr is concurrently developing the fMSX port and it is his legitimal decision to code or not code such emulators.
2. This is a MSX forum, so others emulators are offtopic here and if you continue in that way you can be moderated.
3. MSX is not from Yamaha exclusively. Yamaha is just one of the companies that produced MSX computer. Other companies are Philips, Sony, Panasonic, Sanyo, Spectravideo, Toshiba, Canon, Mitsubitshi, and a very very long etc.
4. Be kind and think a bit for Jr, he has worked a lot with the emulator that we are enjoying now, just for free.
Snout don't joke so. Nes is not so bad. MSX too. But Symbian phones is temporality and soon changing for more grafical and high perfomance Smartphones. Like a 7700/series90. Jr What about series90? Series90 compability with series60 ??? Or emulate series60? 8)
Series 90 is not directly compatible with Series 60. It is like if you would compare Series 80 (i.e. Nokia 9210 Communicator) with Series 60 -- they have similarities but yet they are different.
Sure, it would be *possible* to make a version of fMSX/S60 for Series 90 or Series 80, but the reason for not doing it at the moment is that currently I don't have any hardware that would be running either of those platforms. Any donations?
About that 6600 version -- yes, I was thinking about trying out the sound driver access to see if that would help with the performance problems on the 6600. The emulator runs fine without sound but of course now that sound support is in it would be nice to be able to use it =) Well, sound DOES work if you freeze the screen...
Sorry for offtopic.
Ater seeing people calling me "keks", I just want to remind that my nick should be pronounced as "Sakh", which is shortened form of the name of Sakhalin Island - a big russian island near Japan, the southern half of which belonged for some time to Japan.
According to western rules, 'c' before 'a' is pronounced 'k', so I can understand any confusion.
You could change your nick to 'Xak', which is pronounced 'sak' too
(Ofcourse there are always those that say 'ksak' ^^
