Me too! Canon V20 on january 6, 1986 (this is the day christmas gifts are given in Spain).
Yeah, it's the "epifania" day (Epiphany) in Italy, when the three kings finally reached baby Jesus and gave him their gifts.
Here in Italy we have the "Befana" (a good old witch that for us Italians is also supposed to be Santa's wife
and she is riding a flying broom during that night, and she pays a visit to the houses of each boy and girl and bring a big sock full of candies and sweets on that day, but only if the boy or the girl has been nice during the year
otherwise, the Befana brings a sock full of coal to the bad boys and the bad girls
More or less it's what the dutch do with Saint Nicholas... Sinterklaas ? on December 5th

Wow, the Befana feast you describe sounds really cool!
Yes, Saint Nicholas was the actual blueprint for America's "Santa Claus".
They're all the same, I tell ya!

:santa:

No yule goat but Joulupukki...

No way!!!
And never heard someone calling Joulumuori as an old witch!!
Joulumuori = Joulupukki´s wife.
