On August 8th we started the finale of the 'Which MSX has the best design' megapoll. Today, the time has come to count the votes and pick a winner. After the nominations and 4 rounds of voting in the MRC forums only 4 MSX computers remained.

It's the first of October, so lets have a look at which files have been downloaded the most in September 2004. As usual, new releases are doing very well, and so do the entries for the Bounce Challenge. Keep in mind, you have less than 2 weeks left to complete your entries for this challenge!.

In March we reported about the restart of MCWF after a period of silence. Now, we would like to remind you about the meeting that is going to be held this saturday, the 2nd of october 2004. The meeting will take place in 'Buurtcentrum Risdam' in Hoorn, Scheerder 1 (The Netherlands).

Flyguille has just released the third demo version of his new Operating System for MSX: MNBIOS. All shell commands are now completely functional. As an added bonus, the OS has now become multilingual, supporting both English and Spanish in one single release.

Marcos Daniel, the author of Final Copy has sent us a useful tool called CHKMEM. This utility searches every slot of the MSX for available RAM, supporting both memory mappers and MegaRAM.

DrMSX has released a remake of a song he once created for an MSX adventure game. Originally released as an FM-BASIC song in 1990, the new version of 'the crisis of those authorities' now is available in MGS and MP3 format at his website.
