Demonseed (John Hassink) has just released a playable demo of the MSX2 game he is currently working on, codenamed Soulgrinder - Sun of Guile. The current demo comes with a prologue, a playable demo with limited features and a music player in which several MSX-MUSIC songs Demonseed made for the game can be listened to.

MNBIOS status update
Flyguille has given us a status update on his MNBIOS (MSX Non Basic Input Output System), a new OS for the MSX2 platform which can replace the original BIOS. The developer is inspired by the One Chip MSX-project and wants to stretch his MNBIOS beyond its current limits.

MAD Music studio released a new track created with the GXSCC software synthesizer, giving it a real MSX touch. This time the song 'Captain Neo' from Taito's shooter Darius was rearranged by MAD.

The Dutch MSX group MSX-NBNO, known for their XSW magazines, distribution of several software titles and the always interesting Oss MSX fairs have decided that, after more than 10 years of serving the MSX community, the time had come to end their MSX activities.
DAPHNE is a Free laserdisc game emulator that allows you to play laserdisc arcade games on PC.
Starting on July 6 during the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Video Games Live will play various videogame music in cooperation with the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra. Among the game music that will be played are titles like: Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Outrun and Sonic.
