Downloads top 10, April 2006
It's the first of the month, so lets have a look at which files have been downloaded the most during the previous month.
Although probably more people had run into the problem before already, Diederick76 recently started a thread on our active MSX forum, mentioning the trouble he had when using xcopy on FAT16 partitions. Sooner or later, an 'Invalid attributes' error would occur.
MSX Advance 0.2
About a month after the release of MSX Advance 0.1, the first (and currently only) MSX1 emulator for Gameboy Advance, an update has been released.
Konami is currently working on a Castlevania game for Nintendo DS called Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.
In memoriam: Giorgio Poggi
On April 23rd, 2006, Giorgio Poggi - an active MSX user from Italy - passed away, after a long battle with a disease that leaves no escape. Giorgio was known from the Italian translations of many MSX games, including Metal Gear and YS. Our sympathy goes out to Giorgio's friends and relatives.

- MKD - A replacement for MSXDOS2's mkdir command, which allows you to create several directories at once
- Libposix - A library of useful Hitech C functions (strtok(), strcspn(), strspn() and strpbrk())
FMPSG5 - Elemental master
This Saturday, the fifth edition of the FMPSG compilation series will be released on the M3 (Music + Mediamix Market) event in Tokyo, Japan. The album contains 27 chiptune tracks, including 4 tracks recorded from MSX.
Starquake map
MSX Solutions has been updated once again with a complete map of Starquake, released by Bubble Bus in 1985.
XZR in Project EGG
Amusement Center have re-released the PC-8801 version of Telenet's RPG XZR. The game was released on MSX as well, in 1988.
