A new version of SCMD, the multichannel PCM player for MSX has been released. In this release, several bugs were fixed while accuracy and performance were improved. The player allows you to play multiple samples on one or even two SCC cartridges at the same time, which is similar to playing MOD-files.

MSX websites seem to be on the move these days. A while ago, MSX Café moved to a new domain, now the Japanese community portal Gigamix Online has moved to a new location.

On September 3rd we started our quest for the Most Essential MSX event that happened between 1982 and 2005. Starting with 78 nominees, and armed with a new megapolling system we now have a winner: the release of the MSX2 computer system.

This event was nominated because it made the MSX the most advanced 8bit platform at the time.
