Whilst blueMSX 1.3.0 was released just 13 days ago, Daniel Vik has finished another update: version 1.4.0.

Wolf announces 5tile
5tile (pronounced as 'style') is a brandnew cross-development tool to create 8x8 and/or 16x16 tiles for screen 5. It's not a regular designer, you can't draw freehand, draw circles, draw lines, paint etc.
Ramones and Sutchan have teamed up as 'Kralizec' to create an MSXdev entry: Kralizec Battle Tetris, an excellent Tetris game for two players. Both the controls, graphics and programming techniques (the game is just 8KB) are well worth having a look at.
It is there! The first new official MSX hardware, straight from Japan: the MSX Game Reader, a USB device that allows you to play cartridge games on MSXPLAYer, the official MSX emulator. MSX Resource Center puts this interesting new device to the test.
MarMSX article on YJK
MarMSX have published an article on the V9958, the videochip of MSX2+ and MSX turboR computers, focussing on the reason why the MSX2+ is capable of producing 19268 colors. If you ever wondered why this is the case, your questions will be answered (in Portuguese) on MarMSX.
In an earlier newsposting we already informed you about the Asociación Amigos del MSX organizing the 25th MSX Users Reunion in Barcelona on May 1st, 2004. In this newsposting we mentioned a teamup with BCN.
On April 1st both www.msxboard.com and www.msxposse.com went down. Many people thought it was a joke, but nothing could be further from the truth. However, the pages remained available on the internet.
Girls Garden - final
After releasing a first demo and a playable demo last week, Ricardo Bittencourt now brings us the full version of the MSX1 port of Girls Garden, a game released on Sega SG-1000 in 1984.
