On the MadriSX wiki the date on which the upcoming MadriSX MSX and Retro fair will be held was recently announced. This year the fair, which managed to attract more than 300 visitors last year, will be held on March 10th, from 10:30 to 18:30.

SLotman has updated MSX Files with an search engine completely dedicated to MSX, which makes it very easy to find MSX related websites with simple queries. He has also published code with which you can add the search engine to your own website.

Although a pre-release of the upcoming Pasmo 0.6 was already available for a while, a new version of the 0.5 branch of Pasmo, an opensource Z80 cross-assembler, has recently been released. This version fixes an issue which caused some compilation errors to incorrectly exit with status 0.

Rafael Jannone has released an online Screen converter for MSX which can convert JPG, PNG and GIF files from up to 400kb to SCREEN 2, 5 and 8. The result is a VRAM dump, BLOADable bitmap image and BASIC loader. You can use several filters to improve output. For SCREEN 2 it's also possible to generate tiles.
