blueMSX 2.5 - beta
The blueMSX team have released a beta version of the upcoming release of blueMSX, version 2.5. One of the main new features in this release is IDE emulation, allowing you to use large harddisk images. If you want to give IDE emulation a try, the beta version just released already supports it.
SaveR, a Spanish MSX user member of Club MESXES, has launched bgMSX, a new site dedicated to songs from MSX games and demos.
MSXdev'06 - Status update
A bit more than a month ago, the MSX1 game development competition MSXdev'06 was launched. With more than 7 months to go to the deadline, a lot has been announced already. Time for an overview:

MSX Web Quiz #1
A few days ago, Ricardo Bittencourt put a website online with MSX Web Quiz #1 and announced it on - amongst others - our active MSX forum. In the quiz, you can see 20 game characters from old and brand new MSX1 games.
At MSX Banzai!, the V9990 (GFX9000) Power Basic manual was updated with information for using COLOR=(p,r,g,b) to set 15-bit RGB values.
A few days ago, we crossed another milestone right here on msx.org. As you can see in our statistics, we now have more than 3,000 registered user accounts on the MSX Resource Center, of which 38% are being used actively, meaning at least one contribution to the MRC's contents (news, forum, reactions) has been made from that account.

Amusement Center have re-released Telenet's puzzle game Mr. Maze in Project EGG.
Amusement Center have re-released Riverhill Soft's adventure game Manhattan Requiem in Project EGG. On MSX2, the game was originally released in 1988
