About a week after the release of the Japanese GXSCC beta223, a newer, English version arrives.GXSCC enables you to play SMF, MID and RPC files on a software-emulated SCC chip. New in this version compared to beta223J:

  • The pre-process (acquisition of a music name, play time, etc.) of buffering was accelerated considerably.

After the completion of the West-Friesland archive with the booklets of the magazines, Hans Otten helped making more magazines available online.Not only MSX-Club West-Friesland magazines can be found in the archive, but also MSX-Club Friesland-Noord and MSX-Club Kennemerland are added to the archive.All magazines are in Dutch.

Haze pointed us to a review of the game Raphael for GamePark. Raphael is a conversion of ASCII's MSX game Castle Excellent, which we reported about earlier.

For the 6th time the Brazilian MSX fair/meeting MSX Jaú will be held. This year, the fair will last 3 days. On 15, 16 and 17 november MSX users from Brazil will gather to show new and old products to each other.

The official website of the Asociación Amigos del MSX has been renewed. On this new site, there is less attention for news, and there is no forum anymore. This way, the core activities of this MSX user group (user meetings) get more attention. On the site are some pictures of the core members of the team, and pictures of previous meetings.
