Earlier this year MSX Association released the MSX Game Reader, a device which allows you to play MSX games straight from cartridge in MSXPLAYer, the official MSX Emulator.

After a discussion on their forums, MSX Posse decided it was time for a Retro event in Deventer, the Netherlands. The MSX Posse Retro days were born. On, February 12th and February 13th, 2005, retro fans can gather for a bit more than 24 hours of gaming, composing and programming on retro systems like MSX, C64 and Atari.

Taito have released their 1987 MSX2 game Kiki Kaikai for Mobile phones in Japan.

On December 28th, 2003, just a bit less than a year ago, we celebrated the fact our NedStat counter, which has been counting visits to the MSX Resource Center ever since August 1996, passed the 1,000,000 visits barrier.

Together with the release of InterNestor Lite 1.0 Konamiman released Inlib, an InterNestor lite development library which can be used with SDCC (of which an MSX-DOS backend can be found over here). With this library you can use all features InterNestor Lite has to offer in C.

Konamiman has just released a new version of InterNestor Lite. Changes in this new version:

  • Detection of InterNestor is now done by using a BIOS hook, instead of reading fixed memory locations
  • Telnet client with partial support for VT100 escape codes
  • Support for an INL.CFG file with configuration settings

InterNestor Lite is now feature-complete.

MSX Maps - Rambo map added

MSX Maps contains maps of several MSX games. As of today, the maps of Pack-in Video's Rambo are available on MSX Maps as well.
