40th MSX RU Barcelona announced

This year, for the 40th time, AAMSX are to hold an MSX user meeting in Barcelona. The event will be held on December 10th and takes place on a new location: Espai Jove La Fontana. Doors will open at 11:00 to 19:00.

The Asociación de Amigos del MSX have completely restyled their website. On their site you can now find small news posts, photo shoots and - most importantly - information on their frequently held and popular MSX RU user meetings in Barcelona.

SCMD Compiler 2.1.3

It has been a while since we reported about the SCMD music compiler. This week, a new version of the compiler was released - fixing a minor (and unknown) bug. SCMD2 is an MML compiler that supports PSG, MSX-MUSIC, two SCCs and MSX-Audio, all at the same time.

Way back in 2004, Project EGG released a limited edition package called Valis Complete. This package contained Windows versions of Valis 1 – 4 and was limited to only 2000 copies.

It may still feel a bit weird, to release a music disk on a day like today, without having an MSX fair nearby. It must be due to the virtual world we're living in these days. How different it used to be halfway the 90's, when music disks were hot, when groups were still behind their booths copying disks and sticking labels to them.

An old month kisses us goodbye, a new month knocks the door, people never have enough, they'll keep coming back for more. In 1987, Japanese company Toho released the first of their Arsene Lupin games. And let's face it, it screams Vampire Killer in every direction. The game isn't really bad, but few would argue that this game is actually an improvement over Konami's classic platform game.
