His name is Venture, Ed Venture. He's the hero of a newly announced MSXdev'11 entry, conceived in ray2day's mind. It'll be a classic platform game in which Ed Venture needs to find keys, naturally surrounded by enemies driving him crazy. When ready, it'll probably be a game requiring only 16KB RAM.

A Japanese person has made a game inspired by Konami's Knightmare II - The Maze of Galious. The name of the game is Demon's Palace. Although it is not 100% true to the technical MSX limits (although it's very close) it looks and plays like an MSX game.

The international videogame portal 1up.com just published an article about some of the best homebrew games for any system. In their list of 31 games, RELEVO's Invasion of the Zombie Monsters gets mentioned.

In only 1 kilobyte, Michel d'Alger has created an MSX remake of Tom Arnold's Robots.

IMS player for MoonSound

Shortly after the IMS Player for FM-PAC, the active Korean MSX developer Sharksym also released an IMS player for MoonSound. This version supports custom sound banks and needs about 256kB or RAM in order to be able to play a 100kB IMS file.

WORP3 has released a new firmware for the MIDI-PAC. This hardware extension allows you to connect a MIDI synthesizer to an MSX and play music intended for MSX-MUSIC (simultaneously, if desired) on the synth.
