aorante has released a ROM tool called 9918Veejing that allows you to create your own 8-bit flavored VeeJay sets on MSX. The tool shows a background layer with pseudo-random noise on which you can add a second layer with still graphics, scrolling text or even a simple animation.
Whilst browsing the web we bumped into this interesting project from aorante, a member of the 303bcn group. He is currently developing a sound editor for the AY-3-8910 soundchip that we have all come to know and love as the Programmable Sound Generator (PSG).
Although not as active as its Japanese counterpart, the English section of EGG has been updated with several new releases with an MSX flavor.

D4 Enterprise has joined forces with Falcom in order to release a limited edition package of Sorcerian, an side-scrolling RPG also known as Dragon Slayer V, which was released on MSX in 1991.

The MSX Cartridge Shop features a new version of OPFX. New in this version is the option to patch Konami SCC ROMs in order to use the external PSG included in MegaFlashROM SCC+. In this way, the sound balance between PSG and SCC is perfect in any MSX model and does not depend on the sound mixer hardware of the computer.
