BlueMSXBox is a BlueMSX Emulator port for XBox which has been made by Xport/Madmab Edition Projects. Like fMSXbox, this emulator makes it possible to play MSX games on a Microsoft XBox console. New in this version:

  • New feature "Seconds before playing movie" determines how long the emulator will wait before playing a movie. The default is half a second. This will help speed up rom browsing.

Brazilian map maker only_69 strikes again with another mapped game after a period of silence. This time only_69 mapped the shoot'em up game Monster's Fair, which was released by Toho in 1986.

Let's face it: SEGA had a hedgehog, MSX has a penguin. Every once in a while, this animal pops up in an MSX game, most of them by Konami. Paxanga joined the penguin parade by hiring a red penguin to lead the game Pengo. A demo of Pengo has been made available at Paxanga's web site.

Dragon Slayer 3 & 4 translation

For all the lucky people currently having a three day weekend, MSX Translations decided it was the right time for some interesting game patches! This time not just one, but three game translations are released: Romancia for MSX1 & MSX2 and Dragon Slayer 4 for MSX2. All three games have been translated completely. Besides the translated texts, a number of enhancements have been made.

Active developer Atheus, a well known figure in the French MSX scene, jumps to the rescue of AZERTY keyboard users, taking away their fears of ever hqving to type in the Tzilight Wone qgqin when using their 1chipMSX.
