Once again a map by mapmaker only_69: Mon Mon Monster. It's a platform game for MSX2 by GA-Yume/Hot-B, a company active for MSX in the late 80's. The game is well known for its rich graphics, swinging music and tough game play.
We're a week into the last month of the year already, a few good days late, but what can ya do. In any case, high time for our monthly downloads statistics. November was a month like others, the usual suspects rank the MSX top 10, and for some MP3 files it's almost impossible ever to leave the MSX Related Top 10.
A new version of Nekolauncher was released yesterday. Nekolauncher is a launcher for openMSX, like Catapult is for Windows, but then for Mac OS X. This new version has a lot of small fixes and many new features, too many to mention them all.
Scaptrust's MSX output hasn't turned out to be vast, only four games can be found in Generation MSX, of which Starship Rendez-Vous is without doubt the most famous one.
MSXdev'09 - Closed
In May of this year, MSXdev'09 was launched. This morning at 0:00 CET it closed with nine entries. While the entry count was certainly lower than the previous edition, the overall quality of the entries may actually be higher.
MSXdev'09 - #9 Dr. Pill
The deadline is nigh, wolf_ is stressed due to an empty mouse battery, and discomeats has spilled instant chickensoup everywhere. Just in time, the Infinite way, Dr. Pill concludes MSXdev'09.
MSXdev'09 - #8 Stray Cat
This is the evening when game developers may be losing it. Every year again this stimulating deadline stress and the explosion of joy when the deadline has been made in the last minutes. Imanok is certainly no stranger among MSX game developers, and his latest output is Stray Cat.
MSXdev'09 - #7 Retaliot
Video Hazard, with Madonna MK 2 on the lead, submitted their game to MSXdev'09. The first MegaROM game of this competition is tightly packed with colourful graphics, smoothly scrolling on your screen, pretending that the MSX1 had scroll registers and hardware parallax scroll. It is none other than Retaliot, the impressive sequel to Seleniak, a space shooter as well.
MSXdev'09 - #6 Menace
Three hours later, and the wait for RELEVO Videogames to publish their new game is over.
