MSX1 experts dvik and joyrex seem to be cooking up something new and remarkable, a beta video of their latest demo was uploaded to YouTube two days ago. You are forgiven when at first sight you'd swear you are watching an MSX2 demo!
Late as usual. Well, this time it's late-late even. It's all about the usual suspects again. We continue to delete trees and the Metal Gear franchise dominates 70% of the related top 10.
Italian MSX fan cesco has opened up a new radio station. It's not a thematic station like MSX Radio used to be, instead it broadcasts Orchestral music, inspired by some of the best videogames ever released on MSX, the Commodore 64 and many other gaming platforms.
Shht, don't tell anyone yet, but we might get a new VDP card for MSX computers soon. Working name of the card is Franky, and it sure has some potential if it's going to be produced. This card is for MSX1 computers and up.
Despite the low entry count of the first edition, which was closed last night, Passion MSX just announced the second edition of their contest.
The basic idea is still the same: create an MSX2 game in ROM format (max 512KB).
One year ago, Passion MSX started a contest that could be seen as the MSX2 version of MSXdev.

Today openMSX 0.7.2 was released.
Sjasm 0.4 beta 7
A new version of Sjasm has been released yesterday. Sjasm is a cross-assembler, developed by XL2s. New in this version:
- Fixed XOR HL,HL. This should generate an error message.
- Hacked EX AF,AF'
- Added DEFB, DEFW and friends
