A new version of ccz80 has been released today. New in this version:

  • Fixed the evaluation of the !-operator for values of the word type
  • Added the label __end_program at the end of the generated assembler code, to locate free space in memory

One team to enter the arena is formed out of well known persons: Arturo Ragozini (ARTRAG), John Hassink (DemonSeed) and Richard Cornelisse (huey). With about 20 days remaining for the deadline, all kinds of unexpected games pop up. The latest finished MSXdev'08 entry is called: Bakerman! Andrea Gasparrini, one of the MSXdev contests regulars, made sure he's among the entries once more. Pick up all ingredients and become the best Baker in town in this retro-styled platform game! The game comes as a 16KB ROM.

Bad news from the MSXdev camp: there are two canceled MSXdev'08 entries to report: Qbiqs (Z80ST-Software) and Knightmare III: Raziël Revenge (Team RyJuZo).

However, luckily these are merely canceled for the contest rather than canceled game projects.

In 1989, a new James Bond movie was released: License to Kill, containing one of the most famous titlesongs in the series. A computergame based on this movie was a mere formality, and eventually this game was released on multiple platforms, including MSX.
