This weekend, the XzentriX party took place in Seeshaupt, close to Munich, Germany. XzentriX is one of the largest retro-computer parties in Germany and advertises itself as "a party for people who love their computer more than their wife (and kids, and dogs :-) )".
bgMSX - LILO added
With the inclusion of the Spanish game LILO, the song database of bgMSX now contains 1871 entries already. This -adult- game by Kai Magazine (Kenneth White Inglese) features SCC music from Fuzzy Logic.
blueMSX Launcher 1.5
Developer Sam Elsharif has released a new version of this front-end for blueMSX.
A while ago, MRC held the -then highly anticipated- Scene Music Remake challenge. With twelve entries, both contenders and audience were satisfied.
SCMD 1.10.4
New releases of SCMD, the multichannel PCM and multichip soundplayer for MSX keep popping up. Another bugfix release has been issued, this time fixing a minor issue in the OPLL routines. For a demonstration of the sound that can be achieved, SCMD music can be found over here.
Nerlaska Studio, the winner of MSXdev'06 with the RPG Monster Hunter, has opened a dedicated MSX section on their website.
With the addition of Griel's Holy Cup, bgMSX now has 1864 songs in their database. This game from Mononoki House (the adult section from Compile), has excellent music and very addictive gameplay. As always, there's extra reading material available on the website of bgMSX.

SCMD 1.10.3
A new version of SCMD, the multichannel PCM and multichip soundplayer for MSX has been released. In this release, a bug in that caused graphical replayer to crash was fixed.
The SCMD player allows you to play multiple samples on one or even two SCC cartridges at the same time, which is similar to playing MOD-files. SCMD also supports 'ordinary' sound playback on PSG, MSX-MUSIC and SCC.
